January 6, 2025 — As families across Florida and the nation struggle under rising health care costs, Out of the Swamp PAC today announced a new ad targeting Florida Senator Ashley Moody for backing policies that make health care more expensive for working families, with Florida set to pay the biggest price.

“Now millions may be forced to choose — pay the doctor or pay rent,” the ad states. “Ashley Moody chose for us.”

“Ashley Moody isn’t just failing to stand up for Florida families, she is actively making their lives harder,” said Out of the Swamp PAC Executive Director Gabrielle Adekunle. “At a time when millions are already stretched thin, Ashley Moody continues to choose party loyalty and corporate interests over affordable health care, forcing families into impossible choices.”

The PAC’s new ad, launching today across digital platforms, highlights how Moody’s actions have driven up health care costs nationwide while leaving Floridians especially vulnerable. As premiums, prescription costs, and out-of-pocket expenses soar, the ad underscores the growing reality facing millions of families: choose between paying for medical care or paying rent.

Launched earlier this year to give Floridians a better choice, Out of the Swamp PAC views Ashley Moody as a uniquely vulnerable target as she prepares to face voters for the first time as a Senator. Out of the Swamp PAC will continue scaling up digital efforts in 2026, softening the ground for Democrats to take on Moody.
