January 27, 2026 — Today, Out of the Swamp PAC welcomes Alexander Vindman to the U.S. Senate race in Florida, marking another sign of growing momentum as Democrats organize to challenge unelected Senator Ashley Moody. 

In recent weeks, the PAC, which has been running ads against Moody, also welcomed Rep. Angie Nixon’s candidacy. 

“Ashley Moody was never chosen by Floridians, she was appointed by Ron DeSantis as a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s increasingly unpopular agenda,” said Out of the Swamp PAC Executive Director Gabrielle Adekunle. “Moody has voted repeatedly to slash healthcare and other services that Floridians rely on, making the state more expensive to live in. She’s serving her political masters, not Floridians. With strong contenders like Alex Vindman and Angie Nixon in the race, Democrats have a chance to make this race competitive.”

A strong Democratic field reflects renewed energy and determination among Democrats to compete in Florida as the national landscape continues to shift against Republicans. 

Moody’s weaknesses are increasingly apparent. She entered the Senate through an appointment, not an election, and has since supported policies that threaten affordable health care and deepen Florida’s cost-of-living crisis. That record leaves her exposed as voters look for leaders who will put families first instead of Washington politics.

Out of the Swamp PAC has been laying the groundwork for this race to become competitive for months. The PAC has launched digital ads calling out Moody’s record and exposing how her votes have raised costs for Floridians.
